Gameplay is pretty solid, gacha rates are pretty absurd and not the best but that's usually the norm these days, still a great game nonetheless.
Gameplay, unit selections still okay about 3.5/5, pity system pretty bad, rates wise (up to personal luck right?) love the story and interactions with units, wished there were better furniture crafting/buying system for the cafe... Refer to Azur Lane on that. The 1* rating from me is the unnecessary censorship and the big fat lie from Nexon's side. Also, STOP REMOVING BAD REVIEWS, if you keep removing reviews, what's the point of reviews in the first place, wake up your bloody idea.
The game is fun to play and the story is pretty good. However, there are a few serious problems with it. The gacha rate is pretty terrible, I actually went 20x10 pulls without getting any 3*(the highest rarity from the gacha). Also, the pity system does not carry forward between banners, so you either save up for 20x10 pulls or don't bother pulling. Lastly, the game is censored, and the developer basically announced more censorship to come after promising no censorship.

Pure disappointment... I really like Blue Archive and I want to keep playing and supporting it but as the way things are now, I would much rather invest and play other gachas not published by Nexon. Everything from the censorship, the constant crashes, the bad subtitles, the terrible pity system and the horrible pull rates that just scream pay2win make this a chore to play. At least the characters are nice and the interactions with them are great but that is all it really has going for it.
This is my favorite mobile gacha game ever. Gameplay wise, it's really unique and dynamic. The characters are really well designed and is not as time-consuming unlike other games such as Arknights which has no sweep function. While I do love Arknights as well and do play it daily, I find myself more excited to play Blue Archive first thing in the morning.

Great game. love every aspect of it. Minor complaint server keepa crashing.
I'm not going to go overboard and causing the dev more problem as it is... If you look back for the past few month, they really did tried their best to win back our trust. They may not be your ideal dev, but they are still human and human makes mistake, but I'm still against censorship and will leave a 1 star review as long as they didn't reconsider.
Despite the censorship fiasco, the grinding, and the PvP AI, the one thing that has me invested to this point is the L2D via relationship stories. The gacha rates are still abysmal, but I think with enough grind, events, and free pyroxenes they give out due to updates, you can stockpile quite the amount, you just have to do it smart.
How can you put together so much talent in both your art and audio teams but still botch the management? First you forced people to join a server based on location without making us aware we wouldn't be able play with other users in the GLOBAL regions, then in 1 single month since release you go back on your words and start to crumble to "external requests". And since you won't say who made these "requests", you'll be the one taking the blame, yet your creative team doesn't deserve this. Shame!
This is a very light hearted and fluffy story compared to other gacha games. Some neat mechanics and the character designs are unique. Can be pretty grindy to get high levels and the rate up for good units can be a bit annoying. Overall, I like it. I recommend it for those who wants a break from the darker tones of other games.

Its good and simple game. I give it 4 stars bcuz the gatcha system is so bizarre, i couldn't get the character in their banner but i got it in regular banner, outside of their banner multiple time, even the 3 stars. How?
I will say from my experience, the game is astronomically fun! It holds cute and charming characters, and an upbeat soundtrack,especially if you are into Future Bass! Along side its charming illustrations, the story itself is captivating and gets your attention, wanting to learn more of its lore! I would recommend it is worth a try! Only thing I would hope an improvement on, is the 3 star gacha rates. Although they are not terrible, it may be of concern once the character pool expands.
Music is great, modern and intense; gameplay is actually interesting once you're past intro stages, with lots of room for manual play; story is surprisingly well-written and genuinely funny; characters are lively, with cute and touching stories and neat interactive Live2D scenes... ...but sadly, that's Nexon. Promises have already been broken, and artistic integrity of the original product - compromised. Tread carefully into the Global version, Sensei; it might no longer be what you expect...
Lots of variative levels with elements enemies and area types but so little character that actually decent to fit for level types and enemy elements, recruits keep giving the same characters because there are not so much characters in the game, i understand this is a gacha game that you need to get lucky to get the good characters, but at least please add more 2* or 1* characters so it's easier to find a character that fits for levels type.
Good game, good music, good graphics, plenty to do. Garbage PvP where everyone just runs Tsubaki, and for whatever reason, their Tsubaki will sit herself in front of my team, never die, and draw all the fire, while the enemy doesnt even bother to do the same to mine. Instead the enemy team will attack my entire backline ignoring my Tsubaki. I don't even bother with PvP anymore sadly because it just seems so one sided. I shouldn't struggle to beat players 10 levels under me. Fix and it's perfect
Installed on 3 different smartphones, Android 10, 11 and 6, Kirin 990, Snapdragon 660 and 855 devices, all should be capable of playing this game. Same bug appear on all devices, after signing in and going through the intro, right when it says something about tim chest, the game shutdowns to desktop. No matter if I opt to download additional 2GB resources or not, same behavior repeats constantly. I will surely update my star rating then this gets fixed hopefully sometime soon... Please 🥺
If you're reading the comments to see if whether playing is worth it or not it's actually up to you. People are giving low grades because the rng isn't fair which is actually funny. For me story wise is decent plus the game play. I do love the chibi styled character which makes it super cute. People said that it's paid to win but I think it's just that their rng suck and they are crying hard. Thank you
Lovin this game, such a chill and cutesy vibe with banger soundtracks. Takes very little time to grind (around 5 mins a day) due to the absence of cancer stuff like "skip tickets". U can complete a stage instantly once you clear it perfectly. For those people rating the game poorly because they are trying to tryhard or cus it's Nexon, LOL. Game is genuinely fun and takes so little time to grind, perfect for people with barely enough time. This is not an auto game!
Good game, nice art. But, you'll need latest specifications to play this game smoothly. Even in lowest resolution and disable every graphics enhamcement, it's still bad. Even playing with emulator on windows, it's still run poorly when entering battle. Also some how the AI is more dumber than me, I'm talking about pvp.
Fun game. If you're expecting something intense, not for you. However, if you want something chill, you'll love it (hopefully. I'm just some bloke on the internet, don't place too much value on my words).

This game is fun, i love the character, the gameplay, and the music, but sometimes there's a lag in the game. And i hope they fixed the gacha system, it's very difficult to save a full 200 for character you want.
I really like this game, the characters are well designed and the story is keeping me on edge, the game play could use a little tweaking but it is a relatively new game so of course not everything is perfect. Sadly I have to agree with some of the other people on here and also say that I am a bit disappointed with the recent censorship incident. Yet it does not "ruin" the game for me. So keep up the good work!
This game has been a lot of fun. The story is amazing,graphics are surprisingly extremely good for a mobile game,soundtrack perfectly fits many scenarios in this game and it also makes you pumped up. The game can be sometimes hard if you don't plan correctly because i made it to the 11th leves with just level 30 units. Grinding can be sometimes hard if you don't know which level is the best to get the materials you need. Characters are very lovable and fun to interact with. Easy 5-star!
Ah yes, Nexon and their old habits of breaking games. Seems that the the corporate bigwig decisions without any considerations on the player sentiments and promises made to players, is still very present and driving down the game. Great games getting destroyed - the history is still fresh in my memory of Tera Online and Maplestory; and I really had hoped that after so long and signs of some changes, Nexon would finally be a publisher that redeemed themselves. Looks like once again, Nexon never fails to disappoint. At the very least they could have kept to their promises first, then change according to the playerbase complaints or public complaints, and be transparent, but looks like the ivory tower mentality still stands.
I never played a gacha before, other than I guess Pokémon Go , and I always looked down on the genre. But then I tried this on a whim and got totally hooked! Easy gameplay to learn, endearing characters, lovely art style... The Cafe and relationship mechanics are cute! It's a nice game for me, though I'm an adult with a dayjob and other hobbies. So I play it casually. Not to super-level all my characters and top leader boards or anything... Just to have fun and enjoy the girls.
2 star for now after that CG shenanigans.Might drop the game entirely in the future if you keep on censoring the content. Story, gameplay, music and visual is good. Just dissapointed for not staying to your promise of giving 100% same content as JP. Im not even sure how future summer/bunny/onsen characters will look like in global. Such a shame. Game is good but due to some external factors, they became slight dissapointing. Should give an option for players to choose to censor or not.
The Blue Archive global version had been censored. It is better to play the Japan version instead. It got bad gacha like what I experienced- >100 pulls with 0 3* characters, while in JP version, I can get new character from new banners with 20 pulls (although I will suck in the following 50 pulls). Then, their PVP is basically based on Luck, you can't help yourself but pray. If the gameplay in both Global and Japan is the same, then why would I have to surrender myself in censored content.
Gameplay wise, it's short but really fun to try and balance your skills to match each individual map according to the girls you have available. It can bring a challenge to those who don't like to pay their way for the strongest units. In that note, Pyroxene (premium currency) package options are limited and a bit costly imo but monthly and/or bimonthly packages are reasonable. Overall it's worth a try.
This is a sad case of broken promises and bad execution. There was potential with generous in the first month with a light good story and decently fun game play but getting an inferior version of the game in Global compared to KR and JP regions is a slap in the face. I was hoping this would be a game I could play for a while but already lost trust and uninstalling after only a month. Sigh.

Very fun combat.The skill animations are very characteristic. The game has personality and I love it. My problem is that the game makes me feel like I need to rush to be competitive when I just want a more casual experience. At the same time the game makes you wait by tying your character levels to your account level. Feels daunting to me. Maybe if they made more cosmetics and more PvE content they would attract more players.But I can see how the central focus on pvp would turn people off
Game has all the right skip mechanics. Lots of progression and enjoyable yet challenging content. Only reason I give it 4 instead of 5 stars is cause while the game values yer time with skip mechanics. The loading in this hand is quite bad. Both starting the game and loading just by going around main area or entering combat. **edit due to censorship changed my rating.
The game is fun to play, the characters is charming, the sound is great. Why i gave 1 star because of false advertising. I never played blue archive on other version than this one and i dont really care about the censoring issue. But, i watched the promotional interview from PD Kim Yong-ha and he promotes that this game will be the same as other versions.People jumping into this game because of that advertising and when you censor this without notifying players about it before it's illegal.
The game doesn't give you enough gems to pull characters. Most of the future pulls are all limited time pull banners too. Too many limited time pull banners for a game that doesn't even give gems at all. New characters every 2 weeks and little to no gems given to players. The pity system is also a horrible design.
Review updated to 4 stars. After a censorship fiasco in December and some questionable localization translations, things were looking pretty dire. However, things have certainly improved since then and there's not too much to complain about except for some needed QoL features.

This game is a lot of fun, but as of right now, it heavily relies on you constantly pulling new characters to keep up. With their atrocious rates, that cause a lot of money sink into it to keep up. Raise the rates and add a hard pity that is at 100 pulls. Also, with this recent event, you guys censored the game when you specifically said you wouldn't, which is why your reviews went and dropped to 2 stars. Please undo the change and don't list to those people as they probably don't play the game.
Definitely wasn't expecting it would be a different kind of gacha game. I thought its going to be another 2D game of jpeg's. But its completely 3D and it looks cute and cool!

The game is beautiful and engaging, the characters have their own personality, and story. Animation beautiful and very well made. The battle is not too hard so it still fun to play with. Now for the bad things is the economy and drop rate is still hard to manage for a F2P perspective who play a game like Epic Seven for 2 years which is humble and generous in term of playability of its community as whole. I hope Nexon able to improve the game and keep their engagement with the community.
